The selection of Paddy rice
Every day the raw material is selected and controlled in our analysis lab, following rigid protocols to ensure a level of quality focused on the market needs and the laws of international trade.
For us, the selection of producers is essential, in particular for our BIO line, free from pesticides and chemical products. In 2016 we started a serious and careful selection of farms where we buy our raw material.
We hold the following certifications: UNI EN ISO 9001:2015, BRC FOOD, and IFS FOOD. The body control is SAI Global, internationally recognized certification body. We are certified as a preparer and importer of organic rice from Bioagricert. We are also Fairtrade International certified, an organisation that ensures the best living and working conditions for farmers and workers in developing countries.
Organic farming is a completely natural agricultural production that allows minimizing the environmental impact. Using organic fertilisers instead of synthetic fertilisers and pesticides, herbicides, insecticides and genetically modified organisms ensures total purity and quality of the product. The aim is promoting a cultivation process that respects biodiversity and deeply knows the physiological parameters of the cultivation areas. The authenticity of biological rice is carefully checked by authorised state bodies that certify its characteristics, ensuring the compliance with biological standards during cultivation. Every day we ensure that the biological rice that we buy in Italy and abroad is cultivated according to these parameters; for our BIO lines (bulk or packed) we rely only on certified farmers.
