Boil rice in plenty of salted water or broth.

Parboiled is not a quality of rice, but a pre-cooking treatment of paddy rice, through which the processed rice can keep its vitamins and mineral salts. It is ideal for rice pilaf, paella and rice salads. Its grains are well separated and al dente.
